Provided is a motor drive system having an excellent environment resistance and being constructible at a low cost and a motor control device used therein. There is provided a motor, a torque sensor provided between the motor and a load, and the motor control device that controls driving of the motor. The motor control device is provided with an estimation unit that estimates at least either of a speed or a position of the motor based on a torque detection signal detected by the torque sensor.
