The method involves receiving a printed image on a plate by the outer surface of a printing pad (46). The printed image is transferred on target object from the outer surface of the printing pad. The outer surface of the printing pad is rolled on an inner surface of the target object and an inner surface of the target object is unwound on the outer surface of the printing pad, when transferring the printed image on target object. An independent claim is included for a pad printing machine.
