The invention relates to a hydraulic-mechanical system with pinion and rack for controlling the ground clearance level of a vehicle. According to the invention, the system comprises a damper support (), fixed to the vehicle axle pin by means of a clamping plate () and provided, at the inside, in the upper end area, with a thrust ring (), with a carrying cylinder (), partially accommodated inside the damper support (), on the outside of the carrying cylinder () a lead ring () being rigidly fixed at the lower part, the carrying cylinder () being also provided on the outside with a rack () placed on a segment of its lateral wall, between the lead ring () and the upper extremity of the carrying cylinder (), the carrying cylinder () partially accommodating a cylinder () of the damper and being rigidly connected thereto, the damper support (), the carrying cylinder () and the damper cylinder () being coaxially arranged, and a hydraulic motor () being rigidly connected to the damper support () and capable of driving a pinion () engaged with the rack (), the system being configured so that, by means of the pinion () - rack () gear driven by the hydraulic motor (), the carrying cylinder () may adopt any position between a first extreme lower position, where the ring () makes contact with an end arresting mechanism () of the damper support (), and a second extreme upper position, where the lead ring () makes contact with a thrust ring (). |
