An ASN encoding unit of a mobile station apparatus generates transmission/reception capacity information including information related to elemental carriers that can be used for communication with a base station apparatus. A transceiver transmits the transmission/reception capacity information to the base station apparatus. A control unit controls the communication with the base station apparatus by use of an elemental carrier allocated, based on the transmission/reception capacity information, by the base station apparatus.
