A zoom lens includes, in order from an object side to an image side, a first lens unit having a positive refractive power, a second lens unit having a negative refractive power, a third lens unit having a positive refractive power, and a fourth lens unit having a positive refractive power, and is configured to move the second lens unit, the third lens unit, and the fourth lens unit during a zooming operation to change an interval between adjacent lens units. A moving amount of the second lens unit during a zooming operation from a wide angle end to a telephoto end, a focal length of the second lens unit, and transverse magnification of the third lens unit at the wide angle end and the telephoto end are individually set appropriately. |

1. A zoom lens comprising, in order from an object side to an image side:
a first lens unit having a positive refractive power; a second lens unit having a negative refractive power; a third lens unit having a positive refractive power; and a fourth lens unit having a positive refractive power, wherein the second lens unit, the third lens unit, and the fourth lens unit move during a zooming operation to change an interval between adjacent lens units, and wherein the following conditional expressions are satisfied:
4.6<M2/|f2|<7.50.4<β3t/β3w<4.5 where M2 represents a moving amount of the second lens unit during a zooming operation from a wide angle end to a telephoto end, f2 represents a focal length of the second lens unit, and β3w and β3t represent transverse magnification of the third lens unit at the wide angle end and the telephoto end, respectively. |
