A friction-reducing apparel pad 100 includes a mounting layer 104 and a moveable layer 106 which may move relative to each other with very little or reduced friction due to the presence of a low-friction element, such as a lubricant 116, positioned between the two layers. The mounting layer 104 includes attachment means 108 for affixing the mounting layer 104 to a material layer 102, preferably forming part of the item of apparel. A blister plaster, an item of clothing and/or an item of footwear having such a pad is also provided, along with a method of use. The pad 100 is suitable for the reduction of friction between two surfaces, such as a body part of a user and an item of apparel, such as clothing, headwear and/or footwear. |
