The method for tuning a vehicle radar of the present invention comprises: while a radar installed in a vehicle is performing detection of radar for acquiring driving assistance information during driving of the vehicle, transmitting a radio wave to a first upward axis, which is a direction upward by a certain angle from a detection center axis, which is the central direction of the detection direction area of the radar, and receiving the reflected radio wave; transmitting a radio wave to a first downward axis, which is a direction downward by a certain angle from the detection center axis, and receiving the reflected radio wave; comparing the strength of the radio wave reflected and received on the first upward axis with the strength of the radio wave reflected and received on the first downward axis; when the difference between the strength of the radio wave reflected and received on the first upward axis and the strength of the radio wave reflected and received on the first downward axis exceeds a certain standard value, the detection center axis is elevated by a certain angle; and, when the difference between the strength of the radio wave reflected and received on the first downward axis and the strength of the radio wave reflected and received on the first upward axis exceeds a certain standard value, the current detection center axis is lowered by a certain angle. |
