1. An image editing device, for editing a combined photographic image formed by combining a plurality of images, comprises:
a first image designation section for designating a single image from a plurality of images that make up the combined image; a second image designation section for designating a replacement image for replacing the image that has been designated by the first image designation section; an image compression processing section for subjecting an image to lossy compression with quantization table values that represent the combined image; an image quality adjustment section for carrying out image quality adjustment processing, that is the same as image degradation occurring as a result of the lossy compression, on the replacement image; a storage section for storing the image and the quantization table values; and a control section for subjecting the replacement image that has been designated by the second image designation section to lossy compression with the quantization table values in the image quality adjustment section, and replacing with an image that has been designated by the first image designation section after expansion.
