a transmission; an engine coupled to an input side of the transmission; an electromechanical device coupled to an output side of the transmission; a differential coupled to the output side of the electromechanical device; and a controller coupled to the electromechanical device, the controller programmed to:
receive a travel range estimate;monitor an operating characteristic of the engine;monitor an operating characteristic of the transmission;monitor an operating characteristic of the electromechanical device;control operation of the electromechanical device based on the travel range estimate, the operating characteristic of the engine, the operating characteristic of the transmission, and the operating characteristic of the electromechanical device; andgenerate a gear shift command based on the travel range estimate, the operating characteristic of the engine, and the operating characteristic of the electromechanical device. |
