PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus capable of starting the feeding of a subsequent sheet even if a rear end margin of a preceding sheet and a leading end margin of the subsequent sheet are not known.SOLUTION: The recording apparatus includes: a feeding roller for feeding a recording sheet loaded on a loading part; a conveying roller for conveying the recording sheet fed by the feeding roller; a recording part for performing the recording on the recording sheet conveyed by the conveying roller; a conveyance control part capable of controlling the conveyance of the recording sheet so that the rear end of a preceding sheet which is a recording sheet fed from the loading part first is superposed on the leading end of a subsequent sheet which is a recording sheet fed from the loading part next; and a determination part for determining whether or not the subsequent sheet is to be conveyed to a position facing the recording part while the superposed state of the preceding sheet and the subsequent sheet is maintained.
