PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens array that can improve visibility of an optical image to be formed irrespective of the shapes of lenses.SOLUTION: A microlens array has a plurality of microlenses individually arranged on a plurality of lattice points (virtual points) having a periodic (regular) pitch. The plurality of microlenses each have the length in a Y-direction longer than the length in an X-direction orthogonal to the Y-direction; the apex positions of the respective plurality of microlenses are displaced from the lattice points at which the microlenses are arranged; and the total sum of the amounts of displacement in the Y-direction of the apex positions from the lattice points is larger than the total sum of the amounts of displacement in the X-direction.
