<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly shorten a sentence while reducing a calculation cost without losing meaning even when the sentence includes only a few phrases.SOLUTION: A on-vehicle information terminal 1 focuses on word classes and sentence patterns in a sentence for which vocalization has been requested, such as a voice of route guide, to generate candidates of shortened sentences by applying a shortening rule (priorities of words) for each sentence pattern. The on-vehicle information terminal 1 then calculates a length of each of the candidates of the shortened sentences, specifies a limitation length of a voice to specify, among the generated candidates of the shortened sentences, the longest candidate (candidate in which the least meaning is lost) that satisfies a condition of the limitation length of the voice, and voice-outputs the specified longest candidate of the shortened sentence.</p> |
