PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide short fiber that ensures a fiber sheet having good flexibility and elasticity, and having superior shape maintaining properties at the time when an external force is applied and in the wet condition.SOLUTION: Short fiber comprising tow of crimped cellulose acetate filaments is found by the equation described below, where the straightness is 0.70 or more and less than 1.0 and the length is 1.0-15.0 mm. The straightness is a crimped fiber length divided by a real fiber length (the crimped fiber length is a direct distance to connect two points of terminal of one crimped fiber, and the real fiber length is the length obtained by measuring a distance from one folding point confirmed in visual observation to the next folding point in one crimped fiber, measuring the distance between all folding points similarly, and totaling the length thereof). |
