PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel projection image correction device which minimizes distortion of a projection video image.SOLUTION: The projection image correction device includes: projection means for projecting a predetermined pattern image on a projection plane; imaging means for acquiring a capturing image on the projection plane where the pattern image is projected; feature point extraction means for extracting feature points of the captured image; three-dimensional coordinate measuring means for measuring three-dimensional coordinates of a plurality of measuring points on the projection plane corresponding to the feature points; reliability calculation means for calculating reliability of each measuring point; reliable region defining means for defining a reliable region on the basis of the reliability; reference table generation means for generating a reference table representing the distortion of a projection video image watched from any arbitrary viewpoint with a correspondence between two-dimensional coordinates of the reliable region and two-dimensional coordinates of a projection coordinate system; and image correction means for performing correction in such a manner that distortion that cancels the distortion represented by the reference table is given to the original image.
