<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bill processing device capable of securely performing close inspection even when a large number of bills are stored in a storage part and preventing the bills of a plurality of denominations from getting mixed, and to provide a bill processing method.SOLUTION: There is provided a bill changer 10 comprising: a plurality of bill storage parts 34, 36, 38 capable of respectively storing bills conveyed from a conveyance part 30 and drawing out the stored bills to the conveyance part 30; an auxiliary storage part (for example, a bill recovery cassette 40) capable of respectively storing bills conveyed from a conveyance part 30 and drawing out the stored bills to the conveyance part 30; and a control unit (for example, a bill changer control unit) for conveying the bills stored in the respective bill storage parts 34, 36, 38 to the auxiliary storage part by the conveyance part 30 and thereafter, returning the bills stored in the auxiliary storage part back to the respective bill storage parts 34, 36, 38 by the conveyance part 30, and at this time, performing close inspection of the bills conveyed by the conveyance part 30 for identification by using an identification part 32.</p> |
