<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a platelet separation device and a platelet separation method for separating platelets one by one from an aligned-platelet body composed of multiple platelets held and aligned parallel to each other with minute gaps, capable of separating the platelets without reduction of the rate of operation nor increased workload of an operator, even if a dummy glass plate with a rough surface is included.SOLUTION: The platelet separation device includes: transfer means 10 for holding and transferring a platelet 101 at the front, in an alignment direction; distinction means 50 for distinguishing the kind of the platelet 101 at the front; separation means 30 for sucking the platelet 101 at the front and separating the same from an aligned-platelet body 100 when it is determined that the platelet 101 at the front is a glass plate (first kind of platelet) 101A, as a result of the determination by the distinction means 50; and recovery means 40 for recovering the platelet 101 at the front, without the suction by the separation means 30, when it is determined that the platelet 101 at the front is a dummy glass plate (second kind of platelet) 101B, as a result of the determination by the distinction means 50.</p> |
