PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized control device capable of controlling a rotary electric machine even upon reduction in supply voltage to a control unit and the occurrence of abnormality in a boosting unit.SOLUTION: A control unit 50 is actuated by electric power from an ignition power source 12 and can control a motor 20 by controlling the actuation of relays 41, 42 and inverters 31, 32. One end 601 of a boosting unit 60 is electrically connected between the relay 42 and the inverter 32, and the other end 602 is electrically connected to the control unit 50. The boosting unit 60 can boost the voltage on one end 601 side and output the boosted voltage from the other end 602 side. Abnormality detection means 511 can detect an abnormality of the boosting unit 60. When the abnormality of the boosting unit 60 is detected by the abnormality detection means 511, the control unit 50 cuts off the flow of the electric power from a main power source 11 to the boosting unit 60 and the corresponding inverter 32 by controlling the relay 42 to which the one end 601 of the boosting unit 60 is connected. |
