PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which can be highly accurately and stably controlled for vibration insulation.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes: correction means configured to be movable in a direction orthogonal to an optical axis of a photographing optical system and correcting image blur generated by shake; position detection means for detecting a position of the correction means; first amplification means for amplifying an output signal of the position detection means; second amplification means for amplifying an output signal of the first amplification means; first AD conversion means for converting the output signal of the first amplification means from analog to digital and outputting a first signal; second AD conversion means for converting the output signal of the second amplification means from analog to digital and outputting a second signal; and control means for controlling the correction means on the basis of the first signal and second signal.
