PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing member that can achieve both high releasability and high glossiness, and satisfies glossiness required for color solid images.SOLUTION: There is provided a fixing member that is used to fix a toner image formed with a toner onto a recording medium and includes at least an elastic layer 202 and a release layer 201. The release layer 201 comprises a particle layer on which fine particles are arranged in a surface direction, and the fine particles have a volume average particle diameter of 0.1μm or more and less than 5μm.
