<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device that suppresses the visual recognition of speckle and is suitably used for a projector.SOLUTION: An illumination device 101G of the present invention includes: a light source device 10; a collimation optical system 11 that receives the input of the light from the light source device 10; a first lens 26 on which the light from the collimation optical system 11 is made incident; a second lens 27 on which the light from the first lens 26 is made incident; an optical element that guides the light from the second lens 27 to an illumination target area; and an optical deflection element that is provided on an optical path between the collimation optical system 11 and the second lens 27 and generates, from incident light, a plurality of light beams having different directions of travel from each other so that a plurality of two-dimensional light source images W are formed on the second lens 27.</p> |
