<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for molding a synthetic resin container in a form having a bottom wall (34, 138), cylindrical side walls (36, 138) extending upward from peripheral edges of the bottom wall and a ring-shaped flange (38, 140) extending outward in a radial direction from upper ends of the side walls, in which necessary molding load is considerably reduced compared with the conventional art.SOLUTION: First, a tabular pre-molded body (14, 128) having a thin center part (16, 130), a thick intermediate part (18, 132) and a thin peripheral edge part (20, 134) is molded by compressing a molten or softened synthetic resin block (12, 126). Next, the thick intermediate part is molded into a cylindrical shape by displacing the thin center part of the pre-molded body in which at least the thick intermediate part is in the molten or softened state, relatively to the thin peripheral edge part in the center axial direction.</p> |
