PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: structurally simple and cost effective metering and venting systems for CO2 sublimation in galley carts; and effective mating systems for galley carts with onboard galleys for efficient external venting of CO2.SOLUTION: A galley cart system is employed having a dry ice compartment 22 and a refrigeration compartment 28 in a galley cart 10 in flow communication with the dry ice compartment 22. A ventilation system is in interruptible flow communication with at least the refrigeration compartment 28 and configured to receive gas discharged from at least the refrigeration compartment 28.
