PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable valve device of an internal combustion engine which can increase the rigidity of a changeover pin by simplifying a structure of a cam changeover mechanism while keeping a pitch of the changeover pin in an axial line direction of a cam shaft constant.SOLUTION: In a variable valve device 2, a first changeover pin 51 has a first protrusion 51D which protrudes from a first accommodation part 72 so as to be insertable into a guide groove 43, and can freely contact with a first changeover cam 43A, a second changeover pin 52 has a second protrusion 52D which protrudes from a second accommodation part 73 so as to be insertable into the guide groove 43, and can freely contact with a second changeover cam 43B, and center axes L1, L2 of the first protrusion 51D and the second protrusion 52D in a radial direction of a cam shaft 3 are set between center axes L3, L4 in the radial direction of the cam shaft 3 of the first accommodation part 72 and the second accommodation part 73. |
