PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a subject information acquiring apparatus capable of correcting the intensity of subject information relative to each position in the subject on the basis of the resolution for each position in the subject due to the subject information acquiring apparatus.SOLUTION: To solve the problem, the subject information acquiring apparatus 100 according to the present invention irradiates a subject 15 with pulsed light 12 and receives and analyzes a photoacoustic wave 16, which is generated inside a subject due to the pulsed light 12, to capture an image of the subject information. The subject information acquiring apparatus 100 corrects the intensity unevenness in the distribution of absorption coefficients, with consideration given to the difference of resolution due to the position of the subject information acquiring apparatus 100 in the measurement area. |
