PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system in which compatibility verification between devices remains easy to perform, even when a new device is added to the system.SOLUTION: An electronic system 10 comprises a set of electronic devices 12A, 12B, 12C and 12D, each of which comprises memories 18A, 18B, 18C, and 18D and communication modules 14A, 14B, 14C, and 14D communicating with other electronic devices. The electronic system comprises: modules 24A and 24B that communicate with other complementary devices to verify compatibility; modules 26A and 26B that generate at least one deviation index when incompatibility is detected between two devices; and compatibility tables 22A, 22B and 22C that define compatibility with other complementary devices, in which each compatibility table includes a minimum required version number for each of other complementary devices. Each verification module is adapted to compare a version number of each of other complementary devices with the minimum required version number.
