<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head-mounted display device that suppresses occurence of flare and lowering of contrast caused by light incident from outside a light guide prism while preventing occurence of ghost.SOLUTION: A head-mounted display device includes: a display element 4; a light guide prism 5 that causes image light from the display element 4 to enter an incident surface 5a to be guided to the front of the eyes of a user; a body 3 that holds the display element 4 and the light guide prism 5; and a support portion that fixes the body 3 with respect to a head of the user. The light guide prism 5 is held being covered partly by the body 3, has a first groove 11 at a portion of a side surface 5d covered by the body 3, and has a second groove 12 at a portion of the side surface 5d exposed through the body 3. A depth of the first groove 11 from the side surface 5d is greater than a depth of the second groove 12 from the side surface 5d.</p> |
