摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens in which a desired variable magnification ratio can be obtained while suppressing the number of lenses and achieving reduction in size, and various aberrations are favorably corrected, and an imaging device using the zoom lens.SOLUTION: The zoom lens comprises, successively from an object side, a first lens group Gr1 consisting of only a single lens and having a positive refractive power, a second lens group Gr2 having a negative refractive power, a third lens group Gr3 having a positive refractive power, and a fourth lens group Gr4 having a positive refractive power. Upon varying magnifications from a wide angle end to a telephoto end, each lens group is moved to increase an interval between the first lens group Gr1 and the second lens group Gr2, to decrease an interval between the second lens group Gr2 and the third lens group Gr3, and to increase an interval between the third lens group Gr3 and the fourth lens group Gr4; and the fourth lens group Gr4 is positioned closer to an image side at the telephoto end than at the wide angle end. The zoom lens satisfies a conditional expression (1) 5.0<TLw/Ymax<6.0, where TLw represents the entire optical length (mm) at the wide angle end of the zoom lens and Ymax represents a maximum image height (mm).</p>
