摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve conventional problems that, while a polarization radar device preferably transmits a vertically polarized wave and a horizontally polarized wave at the same time so that a polarization radar device may acquire accurate polarization characteristics, a conventional time-division method for switching polarized waves per pulse is unable to simultaneously transmit a vertically polarized wave and a horizontally polarized wave, and a pulse multiplex method for simultaneously transmitting a vertically polarized wave and a horizontally polarized wave using two modulators and two transmitters makes a device large in scale.SOLUTION: A timing adjustment unit is provided to measure the time difference between a signal pulse of a vertically polarized wave input to an antenna and a signal pulse of a horizontally polarized wave input to the antenna so as to adjust the timing of the signal pulses. It is thereby possible to simultaneously transmit a vertically polarized wave and a horizontally polarized wave and achieve reductions in the size and cost of a polarization radar device while improving the identification accuracy and classification accuracy for a target.</p>
