PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce harmful substances in exhaust gas and improve environmental performance at a submerged combustion type vaporization device in which air supplied from a blower is divided into primary air and secondary air.SOLUTION: A submerged combustion type vaporization device 1 comprises a heat exchanger 12 immersed and arranged in a water tank 11; a burner 2 for igniting air supplied from a blower 14 and fuel supplied from a fuel supply source in a combustion chamber 25; a down-comer 13 constituted to guide combustion gas from the burner into the water tank; a plurality of purging pipes 15 constituted to inject exhaust gas into the water; and a manifold 17 constituted to distribute the exhaust gas into each of the purging pipes. Air supplied to the burner is divided into primary air for combustion fed into a combustion chamber of the burner and secondary air for non-combustion not fed into the combustion chamber. The secondary air is merged with the combustion gas from the burner at the lower part of the downcomer or manifold.
