PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a cold storage refrigerator compact in size and/or improve refrigeration capacity of the cold storage refrigerator.SOLUTION: A single-stage or multi-stage cold storage refrigerator comprises a double-stage low temperature side gas flow passage 54a communicating a double-stage expansion chamber 55 with a low temperature end of a double-stage cold storage unit 60 between a double-stage displacer and a double-stage cooling stage 85. The double-stage low temperature side gas flow passage 54a comprises a double-stage gas flow clearance 54c defined by an outer circumferential surface of a double displacer side wall 57 and an inner circumferential surface of a double cylinder side wall 56, and a double-stage displacer gas passage 54b communicating the double-stage gas flow clearance 54c with a low temperature end of the double-stage cold storage unit 60. The double-stage displacer gas passage 54b has a clearance opening 70 communicated with the double-stage gas flow clearance 54c at the outer circumferential surface of the double-stage displacer side wall 57. An axial position of the clearance opening 70 is placed at a high temperature side as compared with the axial position at the low temperature end of the double-stage cold storage unit 60. |
