PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a temperature rise starting time to reduce power to be used for fixation.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 energizes a fixing heater 30c from a power supply unit 80 under the control of an operation processing unit 71 of a control unit 70 to control heating of a fixing roller 30a. The operation processing unit 71 controls the temperature rise starting time of the fixing roller 30a, which is controlled to be at a standby temperature during image formation, on the basis of a voltage value of a power of an external power supply PS to be supplied to the power supply unit 80, and increases the temperature of the fixing roller 30a to a fixable temperature at the time when a sheet reaches the fixing roller 30a.
