<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent printing failure caused by backlash.SOLUTION: A digital printing press 1 comprising a printing cylinder 33 that holds and transports a sheet S1 and a processing part 3 that processes the sheet S1 transported by the printing cylinder 33 under digital printing processing is provided with a printing cylinder gear 33g fixed on the shaft of the printing cylinder 33 and a brake force giving device 80 that gives brake force to the printing cylinder gear 33g, or to gears 33g, 36g, 37g, 38g coupled with the printing cylinder gear 33g downstream in a drive force transmission direction. Thus, brake force given by the brake force giving device 80 can prevent a phase shift equivalent to backlash between the printing cylinder gear 33g and gear 50g, so that printing failure can be eliminated.</p> |
