<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability, while surely suppressing the warpage of a belt end, in attachment/detachment operation, even when there is variation in positional accuracy.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes a transfer unit 500 which is attachably/detachably supported by an apparatus body 100 and includes a belt member 10 which is wound on support members 501 and 512, to travel, and functional members 18Bk, 18C, 18M, and 18Y which are arranged in the apparatus body adjacently to the transfer unit. The transfer unit includes pressing members 530 and 531 which suppress the warpage of the ends 10b and 10c of the belt member. The pressing members comprise an elastic member, so as to be elastically deformable, so that the pressing members are displaced in a direction Q1 to come close to the ends 10b and 10c of the belt member by interference with the functional members in the attachment/detachment operation of the transfer unit.</p> |
