PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of continuing an operation of a power generator during an independent operation.SOLUTION: An air conditioner 1 includes an outdoor unit 2A having a gas engine 10 for driving a compressor 12 of a refrigeration cycle and a power generator 11 connected to the gas engine 10. The compressor 12 is connected to the gas engine 10 via an electromagnetic clutch 14. The air conditioner includes: a storage unit 39b for classifying abnormality in a gas engine 10 system and abnormality in a refrigeration cycle system in advance and storing them; and an independent control unit 39a for continuing an operation of the gas engine by removing the electromagnetic clutch 14 when only abnormality in the refrigeration cycle occurs.
