PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator and a network system including a refrigerator, capable of performing inventory management of the refrigerator accompanying take-in or take-out of an item using a stored article image extracted from an entire image.SOLUTION: A refrigerator comprises: a cold room 100; a cold room door 101 opening or closing an opening portion of the cold room 100; a camera 2 imaging an interior of the cold room 100; a taken-in/taken-out food item extraction device 6 extracting an image of a stored item taken in or taken out on the basis of an entire image of the interior of the cold room 100 before opening and after closing the cold room door 101; and an image memory 7a storing taken-in/taken-out identification information indicating whether the stored item image extracted by the taken-in/taken-out food item extraction device 6 is an item taken in or an item taken out as well as time information on a door open/close motion.
