PRODUCTION OF METAL INSERT FOR PROTECTION OF LEADING EDGE FROM CERAMIC MATERIAL

FIELD: engines and pumps.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protection of aircraft engine compressor blade leading and trailing edges. Metal sheets are shaped by forming to initial state approximating to the shape of insert back (1E) and pressure side (1I). The shape of central part (3) complies with that of inner cavity of said metal insert. Both sides of said central part close in at least one point to generate inner shape of the blade leading or trailing edges. Sheet blank are jointed at the level of central part sharpened end by point joint and welding of sheets sides. Blank is placed in vacuum and closed by welding around central part to keep residual space between blank sheets and at least one point of said central part. Blank is jointed by hot isostatic pressing to blank sheets deformation for complete closure of central part. Blank is cut over mid transverse plane to remove the central part (3) and to divide it into two inserts. Insert outer profile is subjected to mechanical finishing.EFFECT: enhanced performances.9 cl, 6 dwg
