The present invention discloses a multi-class classification apparatus, a method thereof, and a recording medium having a computer program recorded therefor. In other words, the present invention sets reclassification standards to correspond to the types of preset classification standards based on feature information extracted from corresponding images for the images which do not correspond to existing classification standards and are not classified and groups the images by similarity and then adds the reclassification standards for the grouped images to the existing classification standards, thereby activating a high capacity smart device and a cloud service to which the technology of automatically classifying objects such as pictures or the like is applied and improving user convenience.
