Disclosed is a home appliance having a drying apparatus improving drying performance. The home appliance comprises: a main body; a washing tub provided to the main body, and performing cleaning and drying; and a drying apparatus provided to the washing tub to suction air inside the washing tub, and discharging air inside the washing tub. The drying apparatus has a heat pump unit composed of a drying duct communicated with the washing tub, an evaporator, a compressor, a condenser, and an expansion valve. The evaporator and the condenser are disposed inside the drying duct to enable the air inside the washing tub to sequentially pass through the evaporator and the condenser.
