An audio-signal processing device provided with a prediction unit that predicts the states of a plurality of speaker units to which audio signals in a respective plurality of bands are supplied and a gain-limiting unit that essentially limits the gain of an output audio signal in accordance with prediction results from the prediction unit. The prediction of the states of the speaker units is performed by predicting the temperatures of said speaker units.
