This fertilizer particle comprises: a liquid fertilizer that includes a fertilizer component; and a shell that envelops the liquid fertilizer. The shell is constituted by a polyester having a molecular structure in which a polycarboxylic acid having a valence of 2 or higher and a polyol having a valence of 2 or higher have been polycondensed.
