<p>To provide a discharge lamp device in which performance of a starting auxiliary light source is maintained and lighting start of a discharge lamp can be stably performed. In the discharge lamp device, the starting auxiliary light source emits light at starting high voltage but does not emit light at regular lighting voltage. The starting auxiliary light source includes rare gas, and light emission at the starting auxiliary light source includes at least carbon monoxide molecular light emission and further one or more of hydrogen atomic light emission, hydrogen molecular light emission and hydrogen compound light emission.</p> |
