<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a retrieval result in response to each access right without increasing time necessary for displaying the retrieval result or requiring troublesome management of access rights. <P>SOLUTION: In a retrieval database 102, a list of users permitted to access and a relevant group name for identifying a group related to determination of access propriety are associated with each other for each document ID. A list of users included in a group is acquired from an LDAP server 105 and it is confirmed whether the user list acquired from the LDAP server 105 matches each user name associated with a corresponding group name in a group list 103.
