<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device and an intermediate transfer assembly, configured to reduce impact noise when mode is changed from monochrome mode to color mode, and to reduce the time until the start of image formation after the color mode is set. <P>SOLUTION: The intermediate transfer assembly includes: an intermediate transfer belt; a pressing member that brings the intermediate transfer belt into contact with a part of a photoreceptor by pressing the intermediate transfer belt; a first biasing member that biases the pressing member in a direction in which the pressing member presses the intermediate transfer belt; a slide member that slides in a first direction to retreat the pressing member and slides in a second direction to cause the pressing member to press the intermediate transfer belt; a cam shaft extended in a width direction of the intermediate transfer belt to rotate; a cam member that is fixed to the cam shaft to slide the slide member in response to the rotation of the cam shaft; a braking member for braking the rotation of the cam shaft in response to the sliding of the cam shaft; and a second biasing member that biases the braking member to control the braking power. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
