BASE STATIONS, NETWORK CONTROLLER, AND FORWARD HANDOVER METHOD

Disclosed are base stations, a network controller, and a forward handover method. The stations comprise a first base station to which a target cell of a user equipment belongs and a second base station to which the user equipment belongs. The second base station comprises a second processor and a second transceiver. The second processor generates a forward handover indication. The second transceiver sends the forward handover indication to the first base station, so that the first base station obtains context information of the user equipment from the second base station according to the forward handover indication when the first base station receives an RRC reestablishment request message of the user equipment. By means of the foregoing method, a user equipment of the present invention can independently select a target cell, and the disadvantage of violating the basic principle that mobility management such as a handover of the user equipment is determined and controlled by a network in the prior art is overcome.
