A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery (1) which is provided with: a first electrode group (2) and a second electrode group (3), each of which is obtained by laminating a positive electrode, a negative electrode and a separator; a nonaqueous electrolyte; an outer casing material (7) in which the first electrode group (2), the second electrode group (3) and the nonaqueous electrolyte are sealed; a positive electrode lead (4) which is connected to the first electrode group (2); a negative electrode lead (5) which is connected to the second electrode group (3); and a connection lead (6) which connects the first electrode group (2) and the second electrode group (3) with each other. The outer casing material (7) is provided with: a first container part which contains the first electrode group (2); a second container part which contains the second electrode group (3); and a connection part (8C) which connects the first container part and the second container part with each other.
