In the present invention, an electric motor comprises an annular stator core provided with a plurality of teeth disposed lined up along the circumferential direction on the inner circumferential surface of a back yoke. The electric motor comprises: a first coil group which is a group formed of a plurality of first coils that are wound in a concentrated manner onto a plurality of teeth which are adjacent and lined up, and that are excited by a first inverter, there being 3n (n is a natural number) of the first coil groups disposed at equal intervals in the circumferential direction; and a second coil group which is a group formed of a plurality of second coils that are wound in a concentrated manner onto a plurality of teeth which are adjacent and lined up at positions different from those of the teeth onto which the first coils are wound in a concentrated manner, and that are excited by a second inverter, there being 3n of the second coil groups disposed at equal intervals in the circumferential direction.
