The invention relates to a vertically operated axial pump, comprising an inner housing part (2), in which a shaft (10) bearing an impeller wheel (4) is supported. An outer housing part (1) is provided, wherein a flow channel (3) for the liquid conveyed by the impeller wheel (4) is formed between the inner and outer housing parts. The inner housing part (2) is designed to accommodate a liquid medium for at least one seal (15) and has an opening (19, 20) for feeding and leading away the medium. A hole (24, 25) is provided in the outer housing part (1), via which hole the opening (19, 20) can be accessed from outside, and a valve (23), by means of which a line leading through the opening (19) can be shut off, is provided in or on the inner housing part (2). |
