摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operation responsiveness of hydraulic equipment while downsizing of an engine even in a structure where a cam shaft is supported by a rolling bearing.SOLUTION: A housing (7) is provided with an annular housing groove (76) housing a rolling bearing (8), a thrust restriction groove (717) which positions a cam shaft (1) in an axial direction, and oil passages (724, 725) which open at one end to a support surface (75) supporting the cam shaft. In the cam shaft, a flange part (17) which is inserted into the thrust restriction groove, annular grooves (12, 13) which are arranged in parallel with each other on an outer peripheral surface (11) so as to communicate with the respective oil passages, and communication passages (14, 15) which allow the respective annular grooves to communicate with advance chambers and retard chambers of a variable valve timing device (2) are formed. The rolling bearing is press-fitted into the outer peripheral surface of the cam shaft so as to inhibit circulation of an oil flowing on the outer peripheral surface of the cam shaft and is disposed between the support surface of the housing and the outer peripheral surface of the cam shaft.</p>
