The purpose of the present invention is to provide an electrolyzed-water generation device which ensures an environment facilitating gas-liquid contact between acidic water and chlorine gas in a positive-electrode chamber, and with which highly pure and highly concentrated hypochlorous acid water can be efficiently generated, and stored for an extended period of time. Accordingly, this electrolyzed-water generation device is provided with: a positive-electrode chamber in which positive electrodes are disposed; a negative-electrode chamber in which negative electrodes are disposed; an intermediate chamber which is provided between the positive-electrode chamber and the negative-electrode chamber, and which has, accommodated therein, an electrolyte aqueous solution for supplying electrolyte ions to the positive-electrode chamber and the negative-electrode chamber; a negative-ion exchange membrane which separates the positive-electrode chamber and the intermediate chamber; a positive-ion exchange membrane which separates the negative-electrode chamber and the intermediate chamber; and ion retention bodies which are provided to both surfaces of the positive electrodes and the negative electrodes, and which retain the electrolyte ions in the peripheries of the positive electrodes and the negative electrodes. The plurality of positive electrodes and/or the plurality of negative electrodes are stacked to form nets having different line thicknesses and/or different meshes. The positive-electrode chamber has, provided therein, a gas-liquid agitation body for agitating acidic water generated in the positive-electrode chamber, and chlorine gas which is generated at the surfaces of the positive electrodes, and which is suspended in the acidic water. |
