PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select operation modes of a plurality of paths between nodes, on the basis of a requested level of traffic between the nodes and a fault occurrence in the paths.SOLUTION: A network 1 including a first node A, a second node B, and a plurality of nodes 4 which are connected via a first path 2 and a second path 3, the first and second paths being different has: a first operation mode in which traffic between the first node A and the second node B is transmitted via the first path 2, not the second path 3; and a second operation mode in which traffic is transmitted via the first path 2 and the second path 3. The network 1 includes a mode selector 10 configured to select the operation mode on the basis of a requested level of the traffic between the first node A and the second node B. Furthermore, the network 1 has a third operation mode in which traffic is transmitted via the second path 3, not the first path 2 when there is a fault in the first path. |
